Avery — Financial Aid
Client · Fintech SaaSA $50K SaaS whose AI counselor produces 2026–27 federal aid estimates from a deterministic engine — no LLM doing the math, no SSN ever collected. Compliance-first by construction.

The rare combination
Strategy & Operations
Build-vs-buy calls, vendor consolidation, and fractional CTO leadership. I size the problem against the org's real constraints and make the call that survives a budget review — then I'm accountable for what ships.
Full-Stack Engineering
Zero to production across web, mobile, and desktop. Next.js, React Native, Supabase/Postgres, and AI woven in where it earns its place. The strategy doc and the pull request come from the same person.
Security & Infrastructure
A cybersecurity operator's instincts on every build — multi-tenant RLS, least-privilege data design, no-PII architectures, and zero-downtime migrations on billing-critical systems.

I operate at the intersection most companies have to hire two people for: the executive who sets technology strategy, and the engineer who ships it. I size a problem against real budget and risk, decide whether to build or buy, and then write the code that delivers it.
That loop has eliminated more than $900K in redundant SaaS and staffing — not on a slide, but by replacing bloated vendor contracts with software I built and now maintain. Every system ships with a security operator’s instincts baked in: least privilege, tenant isolation, and data designs that never collect what they don’t need.
